Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPsentbymail
Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes & hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.
This weekend’s tag was #WHPsentbymail, which asked participants to explore the themes of mail and post offices through creative photos and videos. Every Monday we feature some of our favorite submissions from the project, but be sure to check out the rest here.

Today’s outgoing mail art….5 handmade postcards and one collaged envelope with paper goodies inside. For a week that started off with me not really having any idea if I would even get any mail together, it’s a pretty good pile o’ stuff.
4 of the 5 postcards were made fresh this week. The 5th one (the small one up front in the top pic) is one I made a bit ago and never mailed out. The envelope was one I made previously as well. Having a nice little stash of ready-to-go mail things really helped to get me going.
Also, I wrote the most perfect label for the “hola” postcard and it was an address I usually don’t write because it’s kind of long for me. First try, no practice runs - just BAM, awesome handwriting. You have to trust me since I can’t show it, but still. Small victories. *high5*
I’ll share the other sides of those 2 postcards later. They’re little rainbow explosions.
I was tickled to get this fortune! Anyone want to write me?
